This is for a Casual, Permanent Full Time or Fixed Term Full Time appointment at 80 hours per fortnight, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.
An opportunity exists for a talented and enthusiastic Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the team at Yalgoo Nursing Post in the Midwest.
To be successful, you will have...
- Knowledge and understanding of the principles of Primary Health Care and Community Development
- Broad nursing experience with recent accident and emergency skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a remote Aboriginal Community or cross-cultural setting.
- Effective interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.
- Well-developed problem solving and negotiation skills.
- Pharmacology competency.
Position Profile:
To work as a member of a multidisciplinary team within a Primary Health Care framework in partnership with the community and other organisations. To provide planned, coordinated and comprehensive primary health and emergency care to members of the community.

The Country Nursing & Midwifery incentive program is available to new and existing nurses and midwives - across a broad range of patient-facing roles - on fixed term or permanent contracts at eligible locations.
