Are you passionate about creating safe, supportive, and vibrant living environments? ELAM is seeking a dedicated and proactive Service Coordinator/Property Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our community-focused housing facility.
The successful applicant will be accountable to the ELAM Inc. Management Committee and be responsible for:
· Liaising directly with a variety of services, organisations and Government bodies, both locally and further afield.
· The achievement of quality service including:
v Client Support & Property Management
v Control of operating costs including budget setting
v Compliance with funding guidelines
v Operational Policies and Procedures
v Staff Supervision and Team Management
Applications are sought from people who have strong communication skills, are computer competent and have the ability to work effectively under pressure. Time management and planning skills with a commitment to client service and the ability to work in a team environment are also essential.
Applicants must be eligible for a Working with Children Blue Card and hold a current Drivers License. You will also need to be willing to undergo a criminal history check as we operate as a Centrelink Agency.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

Qualifications/Experience:
• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant human services field such as Social Work, Psychology or Social Science is desirable.
• Relevant management experience is essential.
• Experience in the delivery of community services, in particular Housing and Youth
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
1. Demonstrated service management experience/skills including:
a. Development and management of budgets
b. Development of administrative procedures/office systems requiring a high degree of judgement
c. Ability to work to deadlines
d. Initiative
e. Team leadership
2. Demonstrated Human Resource skills including conflict management, grievance handling and Work Health & Safety.
3. Experience in the provision of strength-based staff supervision.
4. Demonstrated ability to comply with, develop and review organisational policies and procedures.
5. Demonstrated application of strategic thinking capabilities, creative problem-solving abilities and time management skills.
6. Demonstrated ability to identify and actively pursue new opportunities for service growth.
7. Demonstrated ability to maintain compliance with funding agreements, including reporting requirements of these agreements.
8. Working knowledge of computer software, please list packages that you are competent with.
9. Holder of current Children and Young Persons Blue Card or be willing to apply for the same. (This is a requirement of our funding bodies and ongoing employment subject to successful application.)
10. Willingness to undergo a criminal history check; requirement by Centrelink

12. Holder of current driver’s license.
13. Ability to be on call as part of a roster.
