APS6 IT Training and Development Coordinator
Canberra/ Brisbane or Melbourne Based | Australian Citizenship Required
12-month assignment (12 month extension option available)

We are seeking an experienced APS6 IT Training and Development Coordinator to support technology adoption and digital capability uplift.

The IT Training and Development Coordinator will collaborate with stakeholders to deliver fit-for-purpose training and knowledge plans that support the change experience. The role focuses on enabling smooth adoption of new technologies through tailored training and learning strategies aligned with organisational change and IT initiatives.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and maintain IT training needs analysis in consultation with stakeholders.
  • Create training materials including user guides, SOPs, quick reference guides, and videos.
  • Plan, schedule, and deliver virtual and face-to-face training programs to enhance digital literacy and technical proficiency.
  • Collaborate with change teams to align training activities with program schedules and business requirements.
  • Support change initiatives through timely and targeted training interventions.
  • Engage with IT and project teams to understand system changes and updates.
  • Conduct training sessions aligned with project milestones.
  • Report on training delivery, uptake, and effectiveness, validating outcomes with end users and leaders.

The successful applciant will bring:

  • Proven experience in IT training or technical instruction roles.
  • Ability to translate complex technical information into accessible content.
  • Experience across the full training cycle: needs assessment, planning, development, delivery, and evaluation.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills.
  • High-quality written communication and documentation skills.
  • Experience developing diverse training materials for varied audiences.

Application Requirements:

  • Applicants must be Australian citizens and maintain political neutrality.
  • Baseline AGSVA Security Clearance.
  • Willingness to undergo a Police Check.
  • Familiarity with and adherence to APS Values.

This is an assignment through to 30th June 2026, offering up to $68 per hour for 40 hours per week. Hybrid flexibility is available.
