About the position:
The Administration Officer provides essential administrative and project support to the Rural Lands Department. This role ensures the efficient operation of departmental functions by managing administrative tasks, supporting project coordination, and preparing reports, presentations, and correspondence for departmental staff.

A strong candidate this this role will possess:
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and achieve work program outcomes.
- Current C (Car) Class Driver Licence
- Proven experience in an administrative or project support role, preferably in a local government or regulatory environment.
Required Skills and Experience:
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft professional documents and correspondence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with project management tools or Council software systems.
- Knowledge of legislative, policy, and procedural frameworks relevant to local government.
- Exceptional organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle competing priorities effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, fostering positive relationships with stakeholders to achieve departmental goals and Council objectives.
- Strong commitment to Maranoa Regional Council's values, team goals, and delivering quality outcomes aligned with the organisation's mission.
Position Details
- This position is based in Roma, QLD
- Full-time position - 36.25 hours per week
- Maranoa Regional Council Certified Agreement 2023 - Stream A- Level 4
