About the Position
As a Technical Officer in Bond’s anatomy laboratories, you’ll play a hands-on role in preparing specimens and maintaining teaching environments that support high-quality, engaging anatomy education. Working under the guidance of the Senior Technical Officer, you’ll assist with class setup, ensure compliance with legislative, safety and ethical standards, and help deliver exceptional teaching and learning experiences.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting the delivery of anatomy laboratory services across teaching and learning and support coordinate practical class preparation
Support compliance with relevant legislation, including the Transplantation and Anatomy Act 1979 (Qld) and WHS regulations
Foster continuous improvement to enhance operations and deliver high quality technical service and skills
Support asset management processes including equipment maintenance and specimen handling
Collaborate with academic and professional staff to support curriculum delivery and provide an excellent student experience
About the Person
We are seeking a motivated and experienced professional with strong technical and administrative skills to support daily operations within our anatomy laboratories. You’ll thrive working both independently and collaboratively, with a proactive approach to compliance, team leadership, and continuous improvement.
Key attributes include:
A qualification in health sciences, biomedical science, anatomy, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Hands-on experience in the preparation, handling, and prosection of human anatomical specimens, with a commitment to ethical and respectful practices
A sound understanding of relevant legislation and compliance frameworks, including the Transplantation and Anatomy Act 1979 (Qld) and WHS protocols
Strong organisational and interpersonal skills, with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively across academic and professional teams
Salary details
The salary for the position commences at $71,938.46 per annum, plus 12% superannuation.
