The Junior Accountant will be responsible for the timely responses, upholding client satisfaction for a portfolio of clients (>$400k) under the direction of their supervisor.

This involves maintaining an appropriate level of service to clients and assisting in producing a high standard of work. The Junior Accountant will be responsible for answering queries and preparing working papers for all clients assigned by their manager.

The Junior Accountant must be passionate about further developing their current knowledge in taxation law and relevant accounting standards, systems and processes, and will show their interest in attaining professional tax qualifications (CPA or CA). They will readily learn to improve their expertise, and will assist in the induction of new staff and mentoring of junior staff. They will be responsible for improving their work on an ongoing basis.

The Junior Accountant will take responsibility and ownership of the completion of allocated jobs, with the assistance of a dedicated support accountant, and is responsible for managing their workload for the client base under the direction of their supervisor, in a timely and cost-effective manner.

The Junior Accountant will be active in welcoming in new business from individual clients, and assist their supervisor in engaging new business clients and providing specialised ad hoc advisory services.
