Position Summary

The School Relationships is a key relationship-focused and growth-oriented role responsible for ensuring our partner schools, provisional psychologists, and supervisors feel supported, connected, and successful. You will be the central contact for schools, building trust, solving problems early, and ensuring every partnership is set up for success. This role blends people skills with strategic insight, sales acumen, and data fluency, and requires regular travel across Victoria to visit schools and deepen partnerships on the ground.

Key Responsibilities

1. Stakeholder Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with school leaders, provisional psychologists, and supervisors.

Act as a trusted point of contact for support, feedback, and shared success.

Proactively check in with key contacts via email, phone, or informal messaging.

Represent Psychs in Schools with professionalism, empathy, and reliability.

2. Customer Success & Service Integrity

Ensure every placement and partnership is set up for success.

Respond rapidly to feedback or concerns flagged by NPS surveys, psychologists, or universities.

Step in when service delivery is at risk (e.g. staff changes, low referral activity).

Track and log issues and interventions; flag trends and early warning signs.

3. Onboarding & Setup Support

Lead the relationship aspect of onboarding new schools.

Ensure understanding and implementation of referral pathways, triage, and model expectations.

Support operational and clinical alignment from day one.

4. School Visits & Travel

Travel regularly to visit schools in person, strengthen relationships, and resolve issues.

Attend school meetings or events as needed to represent Psychs in Schools.

5. Monitoring & Reporting

Monitor satisfaction using tools such as NPS, reflections, and placement reports.

Maintain light-touch dashboards systems to track school health.

Feed school-level insights back to the executive team to guide continuous improvement.

6. Sales, Growth & Expansion

Identify opportunities to grow our presence within existing schools and across new regions.

Support the onboarding of new schools through relationship-building and value articulation.

Actively promote the benefits of the Psychs in Schools model to prospective partners.

Collaborate with the marketing and executive teams to convert interest into partnerships.

Track pipeline activity and report on growth opportunities and progress.

Key Selection Criteria

Essential

Demonstrated experience in school leadership, education liaison, or partnerships roles (e.g. Assistant Principal, Wellbeing Leader, Partnership Manager).

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Strong problem-solving ability with a calm, confident, and warm approach.

Highly organised with strong time management and follow-through.

Ability to represent the organisation independently and uphold our values.

Understanding of school systems, funding structures, and support services.

Commercial awareness and comfort engaging in values-based sales conversations.

A current Victorian Driver’s Licence.

Ability to obtain (or current holder of) a Working with Children Check (WWCC).

Desirable

Experience working with allied health or mental health services.

Familiarity with Net Promoter Score (NPS) or similar feedback tools.

Comfort using a range of communication tools (email, phone, SMS, video).

Experience supporting student placements or professional training programs.

Experience in business development or sales.

What We Offer

A flexible, people-first workplace with a strong mission-driven culture.

The opportunity to work at the interface of education, psychology, and innovation.

Autonomy and trust to lead your area of work.

A collaborative and values-driven team.

Opportunities for growth as the organisation scales.

The chance to directly contribute to our expansion and impact across Victoria.

This is more than a coordination role. We are looking for someone who builds trust quickly, maintains calm under pressure, and thrives in a mission-focused team working to make youth mental health support accessible across Victoria—while helping us grow our reach and deepen our partnerships.
