Welcome to Rise, where we believe that every person deserves connection, inclusion, and a good laugh along the way. We're on the lookout for a Senior Activity Planner – someone who can dream up and deliver exceptional group social experiences to uplift both clients and our team members.
This is a full-time position based at our Peter Anderton Centre (Forrestfield) with requirement to occasionally work from our Koongamia Social Centre. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 4.06pm.
🌈 What You’ll Be Doing:
Planning, creating and living engaging group programs based on client feedback (and a dash of creativity).
Championing inclusion, independence, and wellness for older adults and people living with disabilities.
Coaching and mentoring your team to deliver warm, person-centred support with a smile.
Ensuring safety, respect, and dignity are woven into every activity.
Collaborating with coordinators and celebrating client milestones.
Keeping things running smoothly with some admin magic behind the scenes.
👉🏼 The need-to-have…
Here at Rise, we nurture potential, but we do need you to have a few tricks up your sleeve including the following:
Minimum Certificate III in Ageing Support, Community Services or equivalent industry experience.
Experience creating and running engaging activity programs tailored to community needs and interests.
Proven ability to supervise, mentor and uplift staff and volunteers in a team environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills – you build positive, respectful relationships with clients, carers and colleagues from all walks of life.
Confidence with admin tasks, written communication and tech
Flexibility and adaptability – you know how to review, prioritise, and pivot when plans change.
An understanding of the importance of cultural sensitivity, inclusion and person-centred care.
✅ Formalities (The serious stuff!)
Appointments to this position require an NDIS worker screening check. Costs for new checks will be covered and/or reimbursed by Rise.
