Join a Fast-Moving Australian Manufacturer – Lead, Improve, and Grow with Us

Custom Chemicals International (CCI) is a proudly Australian-owned manufacturer supplying high-quality chemical products to a wide range of industries — including hospitality, industrial, automotive, retail, animal care, and more.

We’re a team that thrives on action. Every day, we collaborate, innovate, and deliver on our promise to exceed customer expectations. Our people are at the heart of what we do — we believe in backing our team, recognising contributions, and building a workplace where people feel proud to belong.

About the Role
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Officer / Planning Assistant to support our Narangba-based operations team. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role where you'll work closely with the Production Planner, Warehouse Manager, and wider operations team to ensure timely procurement, smooth production scheduling, accurate stock management, and effective admin support.

You'll assist with sourcing materials, coordinating deliveries, maintaining purchasing records, and contributing to inventory control — all while supporting day-to-day admin tasks that help keep the site running efficiently.

This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys variety, thrives on structure, and is comfortable communicating across departments and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

Purchasing & Procurement

Perform day-to-day purchasing of raw materials, packaging, and consumables

Raise, issue, and manage purchase orders in line with production schedules

Monitor supplier performance, delivery timelines, and lead times

Reconcile invoices, resolve discrepancies, and ensure accurate receipting of goods

Maintain updated records of supplier information, costs, and purchase history

Production Planning Support

Assist the Production Planner with forecasting and production scheduling

Monitor inventory levels and anticipate material requirements

Communicate potential supply issues to relevant departments promptly

Ensure timely delivery of materials to align with production demand

Warehouse & Inventory Coordination

Work closely with the Warehouse Manager to ensure materials are receipted, stored, and recorded correctly

Assist with inventory reconciliation, stocktakes, and reporting

Support accurate stock movement and ensure availability for production

Collaborate on improvement initiatives for material flow and stock accuracy

Administrative Support

Provide general administrative assistance to the Operations and Warehouse teams

Support document control, data entry, filing, and maintenance of internal records

Assist with the preparation of reports, purchase logs, and supplier communications

Help manage incoming enquiries and ad hoc admin tasks as directed

What We’re Looking For

Experience in purchasing, procurement, or inventory coordination

Exposure to manufacturing or supply chain environments (chemical industry experience is a bonus)

Strong administrative and data entry skills with excellent attention to detail

Clear and professional communication, both written and verbal

Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-driven environment

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and inventory or ERP systems

Why Join Us?

Stable full-time position with consistent weekday hours (Mon–Fri, 7am–3pm)

Join a growing, Australian-owned company that values initiative and contribution

Opportunity to lead positive change and be recognised for your impact

Supportive team environment with room to grow
