About the business and the role

Avantic Constructions is a residential builder who focuses in low to medium density residential projects which range from townhouse to residential apartment constructions. Our mission is to provide high quality, value for money, innovative building, and design solutions. We are looking for a full-time, reliable and well-organised professional Construction Estimator to join our company to assit in tendering a number of residential projects.

Job tasks and responsibilities

• Prepare cost plans and budgets;
• Prepare BoQ & Takeoff using Cubit or similar softwares;
• Prepare tenders;
• Recommend Design Manager regarding preliminaries risk and marginal allowances for tenders;
• Compile Tender analysis on tender outcome data base;
• Develop and maintain subcontractor and supplier data base;
• Negotiate with client and consultants, following submission of tender and prior to acceptance;
• Maintain and estimate document control and filing system and data bases in both hard copy and electronic.

Skills and experience

• 2+ years experience as an Estimator in the construction industry;
• Ability to read construction plans and develop cost estimates;
• Strong understanding of residential construction processes;
• Multi-tasking skills and ability to meet strict deadlines;
• Strong communication skills;
• Strong work ethics;
• Collaborative approach to work.
