A leading organisation in the financial services sector is seeking a Data Engineer where you will support the data and cross functional teams by ensuring the availability of accurate, up-to-date platform reporting. You will play a key role in maintaining data workflows and platform reliability to enable informed decision-making across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor data pipelines and platform performance, apply updates and conduct tests to keep systems stable.
• Provide accurate and timely platform reporting to support internal teams.
• Troubleshoot data issues and restart workflows when needed.
• Ensure reliable data availability and workflow consistency in a regulated environment.
• Deliver clean, up-to-date, and trusted data for informed decision-making.
• Implement automated data quality checks to maintain reporting accuracy and meet audit standards.
• Work with different teams to turn business needs into technical data solutions.
• Help improve data models, transformations, and workflow orchestration within the cloud platform.

Key Requirements:

• Tertiary qualifications in Data Engineering, Data Analysis, or a related technical field.
• 1-3 years of experience in a DBA / Data Engineer / Data Analyst, or similar hands-on technical role.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GDP) services such as BigQuery and Cloud Functions.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and relational database management.
• Familiarity with data orchestration tools such as Airflow, or equivalent workflow platforms.
• Technical skills in SQL, Python, DBT, GIT, with expertise in data modelling and data mapping.
• Experience working with reporting and BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau).
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP) and scalable data environments.
• Awareness of data governance, regulatory compliance, and audit requirements in a data-driven environment.
• Strong communicator and team player with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.

Salary Package: $90K-$100K Base Salary + Superannuation.
