We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) with hands-on expertise in PostgreSQL and Google Data Platform to be responsible for managing and optimising the data ingestion pipelines and database environments, supporting the future-state data architecture and marketing technology platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, monitor, and maintain PostgreSQL databases ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
• Design, build, and maintain data ingestion pipelines and workflows using Google Data Platform services.
• Collaborate with developers and product owners to design database solutions aligned with application requirements.
• Provide expertise on database design, development techniques, and performance tuning.
• Ensure data integrity and implement best practices for database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Work closely with cross functional teams to support Adobe Campaign and/or Adobe Experience Management (AEM).
• Assist in the evaluation and implementation of database and cloud data platform technologies.
• Participate in resource planning and technical discussions to align database capabilities with business needs.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Database Administrator (DBA) with strong PostgreSQL skills.
• Hands-on experience with Google Data Platform (e.g., BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub) for data ingestion and pipeline management.
• Proficient in SQL, database design, and performance tuning.
• Basic understanding of application design and software development methodologies.
• Familiarity with structured programming principles and object-oriented concepts.
• Knowledge of cloud-native data solutions and best practices.
• Experience with other relational and non-relational databases.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team.

Contract Rate: $700-$800 per Day (incl. super)
