We are seeking a proactive and adaptable ICT Support and
Test Engineer to join our internal technology team in Tamworth.
This role involves providing high-level technical support across systems,
applications, and hardware, as well as testing new software and hardware
implementations. The ideal candidate will assist in diagnosing system issues,
maintaining infrastructure and ensuring high service quality in alignment with our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
ICT Support
- Provide tier 2/3 support for internal users on hardware, software, and
- network-related issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents efficiently, escalating when
- necessary.
- Maintain, monitor, and upgrade internal IT infrastructure, including
- servers, workstations, and peripherals.
- Assist in managing Active Directory, Office 365, cloud systems, and
- backup solutions.
Testing & Quality Assurance
- To Develop, execute, and document test plans and test cases for internal
- systems and applications.
- To Assist with UAT (User Acceptance Testing), identifying defects and
- working with developers and vendors to resolve issues.
- To Test patches, upgrades, and configurations before deployment into
- production environments.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, incidents,
- solutions, and test results.
- Assist the Supervisor with reporting IT performance metrics and
- support workload analysis.
Systems Support & Maintenance
- Support software and hardware rollouts, including configuration and
- deployment.
- Monitor network and system performance, responding to alerts
- proactively.
- Assist in systems integrations and internal improvement projects.
- Collaboration & Training
- o Work closely with other departments to understand and support
- technical requirements.
- Provide basic training and support for end users on tools, systems, and
- policies.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related
- discipline.
- 1+ years of experience in an ICT support or test engineering role.
- Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux server environments, network
- protocols, and enterprise IT environments.
- Experience with software testing methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA,
- TestRail, Selenium – optional but advantageous).
- Understanding of ITIL practices is desirable.

Reporting & Supervision:
This position reports directly to the Supervisor – ICT Operations. Regular meetings will be held to ensure alignment with team objectives, project timelines, and performance expectations.
