ABOUT THE ROLE

Support financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis while gaining hands-on experience across all facets of accounting at Wodonga TAFE.

As an Accountant at Wodonga TAFE, you’ll work closely with the Management Accountant to prepare and administer financial data supporting the production of financial statements. This role offers broad exposure to a variety of accounting practices, enhancing your experience and skills in budgeting, reporting, analysis, and advisory tasks.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate fund allocation and compliance with legal and reporting standards. Join a dynamic finance team committed to delivering essential financial services across the Institute.

Selected Duties:

Prepare and manage financial reports in line with policies, procedures, and legislation.

Provide high-level financial advice, analysis, and insights to support strategic and operational decision-making.

Supervise and support Finance Officer and Graduate Accountant to meet deadlines.

Ensure compliance with financial controls, reporting standards, and audit requirements.

Utilise financial management systems and advanced Excel skills to monitor budgets, streamline processes, and enhance reporting accuracy.

Skills & Experience

Accounting Degree or working towards an Accounting Degree qualification and relevant experience;; or a suitable combination of relevant qualifications and experience and high levels of advanced excel capability.

Desirable: CA or CPA or studying towards.
