Position Duties

Prepare comprehensive financial statements and reports for diverse client portfolios across multiple industries

Support clients in developing budget frameworks and provide strategic financial planning advice

Review client business costs and analyse revenue patterns and operational expenditures

Conduct detailed financial assessments and compile performance reports for client businesses

Provide strategic financial and tax advisory services on client business structures and operations

Prepare individual and business tax returns for a diverse range of clients

Implement and manage client accounting systems, including recommendations for digital accounting solutions

Establish internal financial controls for client businesses and ensure regulatory compliance

Review and verify accuracy of client financial records and confirm compliance with statutory obligations

Facilitate client relationships with banks and financial advisors for investment and funding needs

Assess client cash flow positions and evaluate financial risks for business investment decisions

Advise clients on business acquisitions, restructuring opportunities, and financing strategies

Build and maintain strong client relationships through ongoing consultation and support

Ensure all client work meets professional accounting standards and regulatory requirements

Essential Skills & Experience Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, or related field

Minimum 2-3 years experience in general accounting, preferably in public practice

Proficiency in accounting software (Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks) and advanced Microsoft Excel

Understanding of Australian accounting standards, GST, and basic tax principles

Experience with cloud-based accounting platforms and document management systems

Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain financial concepts clearly

Excellent time management and prioritisation skills with ability to handle multiple clients

High level of accuracy and thoroughness in all work performed

Analytical thinking and ability to identify and resolve accounting discrepancies
