Job description:

  • Location: Orange
  • Ongoing - Full-Time (35 HPW)
  • Clerk Grade 3/4, base salary ($84,659 - $92,701), plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

Your role

The role delivers complex administrative services to meet legal obligations and ensure high-quality client support. It involves supervising a small team, providing hands-on training, and managing resources effectively. As a Registrar or Deputy Registrar in a court registry, the role may also perform quasi-judicial and procedural functions.

What you'll do

  • Provide training, supervision and support to team members and deals with complex enquiries.
  • Identify, prioritise tasks and allocate resources to meet daily goals.
  • Ensure output of team is accurate, compliant with time standards and responsive to client needs
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of initiatives that aim to improve work practices.
  • Adapt to work in different jurisdictions.
  • Interpret and apply departmental policies and practices such as Bullying/Harassment prevention, EEO, EAPS, Code of Conduct, WH&S, Ethical Work Practices, Disability Awareness, ATSI Strategies.

What we're looking for

  • Demonstrate initiative and deliver high-quality client service in a dynamic and complex work environment.
  • Build and maintain a cohesive, efficient, and positive team structure. Supporting staff with varying abilities / experiences and helping them adopt new work practices to improve client service standards and foster teamwork.
  • Keep up to date with procedural and legislative changes affecting court operations. Ensuring accurate and consistent information is provided to clients and the Court. Adapting to work in different jurisdictions.

Role requirements

  • Candidates must hold a valid Australian Driver's Licence.
  • The successful candidate must be willing to travel to other locations within the hub. At times this may include overnight stays. A departmental motor vehicle will be provided when available and the appropriate allowances paid for travel.
