About the role
This full-time IT Support Analyst role at Varidan Managed IT Services in Ultimo, NSW is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional with a passion for providing exceptional IT support. As part of the company's IT team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving a wide range of technical issues, ensuring the smooth operation of Varidan's Customer IT on-premise infrastructures and Cloud environments.
What you'll be doing
Providing 1st and 2nd level support for all IT-related queries and incidents.
Vast majority of this support will be handled remotely by phone and remote-control software to engage the customer and resolve the request. Occasional onsite visits will be required to resolve some requests.
Diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues reported by users
Configuring and maintaining desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other peripheral devices
Monitoring ServiceDesk records and analyzing reports, taking preventative action to ensure Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) are met
Monitoring all critical ServiceDesk requests to ensure prompt resolution
Monitoring and reporting on hardware, software and network resources to ensure a high level of performance, security and integrity
Assisting with various tasks to enable the smooth running of Varidan Operations. e.g. Organizing Couriers, stock take of equipment, notifying of purchase needs
Documenting certain support functions and maintaining accurate records
Collaborating with the broader IT team to implement and maintain IT policies and procedures
Assisting on project work, which includes installation and configuration of assigned tasks
Providing advice and training to end-user users, as required
What we're looking for
Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar IT support role
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office suite
Experience or exposure to Microsoft Server technologies, Office 365, Administration of Active Directory, Group Policy and Microsoft Exchange, MAC OS
Understanding of networking concepts and experience in network troubleshooting
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
