ODÉ Bistro is an one-hat modern Australian restaurant located in North Adelaide, recently recognised as one of The Advertiser’s Top 10 New Restaurants for 2025. We offer refined, produce-driven dining in a contemporary setting — and we’re building a team that reflects that same standard of excellence.

We're now looking for a passionate Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef to join our growing kitchen brigade. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with a small, creative and highly dedicated team, in a venue that celebrates seasonality, bold flavour, and technique.

The Role

As Sous / Junior Sous Chef, you will play a hands-on role in maintaining the daily operations of the kitchen, leading service, mentoring junior staff, and contributing creatively to menus and execution. You’ll be expected to uphold high standards of consistency, cleanliness, and discipline — while also bringing your own personality and passion to the plate.

What You’ll Bring

✅ 2+ years experience in a similar role (Sous or Junior Sous level)
✅ A strong foundation in modern Australian or European cuisine
✅ Excellent organisational and time management skills
✅ Ability to lead by example and mentor junior team members
✅ High level of kitchen hygiene and food safety knowledge
✅ Passion for seasonal produce, sustainability, and detail
✅ Calm, focused energy and a positive team-first attitude
