We are seeking an experienced medical receptionist to join our practice on a full-time or part-time basis. We have 6 general practitioners, 2 practice nurse and a helpful administration team at East Maitland Family Medical Centre + skin cancer clinic.

Reception Duties:

• Welcoming patients.
• Scheduling appointments for new and existing patients.
• Attending to patients face to face, over the telephone and by emails.
• Responding to all correspondence through faxes, emails and by phone.
• Experience in billing: Accounts / Invoices.
• Opening and closing surgery
• Providing support for Doctors and Nurse
  
• Essential Requirements:

Experience using Best Practice and Previous experience in a General Practice is a must
Excellent communication skills and a professional manner
Patience and empathy in dealing with patients
High attention to detail
Able to work independently

• Desirable Requirements:

Triage for General Practice and CPR training

Knowledge of Medicare, DVA and Work Cover billings

Knowledge of Practice Accreditation

Ability to multi-task and prioritise under pressure (essential)

Strong attention to detail and accuracy is necessary.

Excellent verbal ,written communication skill and professional phone manner

Remuneration: Negotiable depending on past experience in medical centre
