The Role
As Site Manager, you will take ownership of a complex newbuild project within the recreational and public-use sector. This build includes significant civil and structural works, requiring a strong understanding of sequencing, safety compliance, and stakeholder coordination.

The ideal candidate will bring experience delivering community, institutional, or government-funded builds such as sports facilities, pavilions, aquatic centres, or education upgrades — along with a strong background in industrial construction (sheds, warehouses, distribution centres, etc.).

Reporting to the Project Manager and Construction Manager, you’ll lead all on-site activity—ensuring safety, quality, and program alignment while driving team performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Ideally 5+ years' experience delivering both industrial and commercial/community projects
• Oversee daily site operations including subcontractor and supplier coordination
• Manage site establishment, structural sequencing, and early works setup
• Lead WHS practices, toolbox talks, and ensure compliance across all trades
• Liaise closely with consultants and stakeholders to resolve design and buildability challenges
• Ensure alignment with program, budget, and safety requirements
• Maintain project documentation and reporting using Procore or similar platforms
• Participate in procurement, methodology, and risk planning where required
• Ensure high-quality outcomes on all public-facing finishes and infrastructure components

What You Bring

• Proven track record delivering full site-based delivery on both industrial (e.g. sheds, logistics, warehouse) and community or government-funded projects
• Strong knowledge of structural construction, subcontractor management, and WHS legislation
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Proficiency with site management software (Procore desirable)
• Ability to manage compliance, safety, and quality standards in regulated environments
• Professional, proactive mindset and strong stakeholder management capability
