As a Research Assistant in the Psychosis Research Group, you will:
- Assist with recruitment and follow-up of research participants
- Conduct interviews and cognitive assessments of research participants
- Collect qualitative and quantitative data, including questionnaires and interview transcripts.
- Liaise with mental health researchers, relevant departments in Mental Health, staff from multi-disciplinary teams, consumer groups, external facilities and community agencies.
- Assist the research team with preparation, review, and maintenance of study documentation, including but not limited to, ethical and other governance and regulatory documentation; study protocols; standard operating procedures and training manuals; and any other relevant documentation.
- This is a multi-faceted role and there is scope to also include other administrative duties.
To be successful, you’ll have:
- Completion of a minimum Bachelor’s degree with Honours in psychology, biomedicine, nursing, nutrition, dietetics or other health-related discipline.
- Demonstrated sensitivity and respect for patients and research participants.
- Ability to work independently and within a multi-disciplinary team environment.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Exceptional record keeping skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated organisational skills including the demonstrated ability to maintain a high standard of data record keeping and a demonstrated ability to meet competing deadlines.
Desirable:
- Experience working with a clinical population, especially mental disorders.
- Experience recruiting participants to research studies.
- Familiarity with research databases (e.g., REDCap and Qualtrics)
