The APC is a leading not-for-profit medical facility focused on prostate cancer and other genitourinary cancers. Located in the Parkville Biomedical Precinct, APC offers an integrated approach to care, combining treatment, research, education, and support in a state-of-the-art environment. Due to continued growth of our research department, the APC has a new and exciting opportunity for a Research Coordinator to join our multidisciplinary team.

Role Overview:

Part Time 0.8FTE (4 days per week)

The APC seeks a dedicated Part-Time (0.8FTE) Research Coordinator to join our Research team. The Research Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating our clinical trial portfolio, and will work alongside research nurses and principal investigators to deliver our portfolio of clinical trials (Phase 1-3 pharmaceutical, surgical and radiopharmaceutical oncology trials).

Key responsibilities will include coordinating the day to day administrative and logistical aspects of our clinical trials, regulatory compliance, coordinating data collection and data entry, managing recruitment, maintaining records, and facilitating communication with the principal investigator, research team, sponsors, CROs and other key stakeholders.

As a key member of the research team, the Research Coordinator will work collaboratively with our team of medical specialists, urology nurses and nurse practitioners, and allied health professionals to deliver clinical trials to an excellent standard.

To be successful in this position you will have excellent organisation and communication skills and demonstrated experience in medical research will be highly regarded. In addition, you will have well developed judgement and decision-making skills to prioritise conflicting demands and meet deadlines. You will also be a team player with the ability to support others in the team as needed.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

A Bachelor Degree in Applied Science, Science or equivalent or relevant experience (essential)

GCP certification (essential)

Excellent communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail (essential)

Minimum 2 years experience in medical research (desired)
