Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with Strategic Operator’s Mindset

We are entering an exciting growth phase with the launch of our brand-new world-class headquarters in 2025, located on Upton Street, Bundall, boasting 2,000 sqm of premium office and showroom space.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a CFO who thinks like a COO — someone who can combine financial leadership with strategic and operational insight.
In this role, you’ll:
• Identify growth trends across our categories and markets.
• Evaluate acquisition opportunities and partnerships alongside the CEO.
• Build and implement financial systems that scale with a global business.
• Play a critical role in shaping strategic decisions, while remaining ready to get involved in key operational details when needed.
This is an opportunity to partner directly with the founder/CEO and help take an award-winning Australian brand to new heights globally.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Leadership
- Drive financial planning, reporting, and forecasting.
- Translate complex financial data into actionable insights for the executive team.
- Lead budgeting and capital strategy for both domestic and international markets.
Business Trend & Category Analysis
- Provide insights into category performance across global markets.
- Identify new opportunities, underperforming areas, and trends that impact growth.
- Build dashboards and KPIs to enable data-driven decision-making.
Acquisition & Investment Evaluation
- Assess the strategic and financial viability of acquisitions and partnerships.
- Lead due diligence and post-acquisition integration.
- Work closely with the CEO on ROI and long-term strategic fit.
Leadership, Team Development, and Stakeholder Engagement
- Lead and develop a high-performance finance team.
- Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Key contact for External Stakeholders, including Banking, Insurance, and Professional Services partners.
Operational Execution
- Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and commercial teams.
- Build scalable systems and processes to support growth.
- Step in to resolve challenges and drive projects forward when required.
About You
• 8+ years in senior finance leadership (CFO, VP Finance, or similar).
• Experience in product-focused industries (gaming, hardware, manufacturing, or consumer tech).
• M&A expertise with strong commercial awareness.
• A strategic thinker who’s also happy to be proactive and hands-on when needed.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
