Lives Lived Well
Posted 2 days ago
Join us in a brand-new role and shape the way we engage with our diverse Gold Coast community. This is your chance to be part of something meaningful; building stronger, more inclusive connections with First Nations and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse communities across South East Queensland.
About Us
headspace Southport and Upper Coomera provide a range of Youth Mental Health Programs for young people aged 12 to 25 years that are youth-friendly, accessible, strengths based, and recovery focussed.
headspace is operated by Lives Lived Well, a progressive, for purpose organisation, delivering leading edge clinical services aimed at supporting people to live their lives well.
About the Role
In this role, you’ll work closely with our Community and Engagement Coordinators to expand our reach and deepen our relationships with underrepresented groups. You’ll lead the portfolio for diverse communities, helping to identify opportunities, build networks, and support engagement strategies. While you won’t be the sole face of this work, you will take the lead on embedding inclusive practices across the team.
This role is based across Southport and Upper Coomera, with regular travel throughout Southeast QLD. You will work three days per week from our Upper Coomera location and two days per week from Southport. The role involves frequent driving to meet with stakeholders out in the community. You’ll be engaging with community leaders, families, young people and other stakeholders, especially those who may not have easy access to our services. The focus is on building trust and creating space for genuine, respectful conversations that lead to lasting partnerships.
This is a full-time position until 30th June 2026, with a gross annual salary ranging from $100,785 to $105,346 plus superannuation and the option to salary package.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is flexible, self-aware, and deeply committed to inclusion. You’ll be comfortable working in a newly defined role, contributing your own ideas and helping shape how the position evolves. You will also bring the following qualifications and experience:
- Tertiary qualification in Social or Behavioural Science, Engagement, Community Development, Health Promotion or a related field, and/or demonstrated relevant experience in a comparable role.
- Experience engaging and working within diverse communities, with the ability to build and maintain genuine, collaborative relationships with stakeholders, including other services.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, with a focus on effective and engaging verbal communication and conversational ability, with consideration of cultural contexts.
- High-level and adaptable written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong planning, prioritisation, organisation, and time management skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and direction, take initiative, and own role duties and program deliverables.
- General IT proficiency, particularly in Microsoft programs including Outlook, Teams, and Excel.
- Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in a newly established and evolving role.
- A current Australian driver’s licence and hold a Working With Children Check (Blue Card) or have the ability to obtain one.
What We Offer
We’re committed to supporting your wellbeing and professional growth. Benefits include:
- Five additional paid wellbeing days per year
- A comprehensive induction program and ongoing learning opportunities
- Discounts on everyday items including groceries, petrol, and leisure activities via our internal staff discount program.
- The opportunity to be part of a new initiative and join our headspace community.
