Position Title: Client Engagement Officer
Duration: Approximately 4 months with a possible extension
Location: Belconnen, ACT
Hourly Pay Rate: $52.19 per hour + 12% Super
Security Clearance/Requirements: National Police Check and Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) Check required
Working Arrangements: On-site
ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re seeking a proactive and client-focused Client Engagement Officer to join a dedicated team in a government services environment. This is a dynamic and varied frontline role that involves responding to client needs via telephone, email, and in-person channels.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a high-volume client service environment, is culturally aware, and enjoys contributing to a supportive and purpose-driven workplace.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide high-quality, client-centred service to a diverse community.
- Rotate through the Call Centre, Client Access Point, and Rebates processing teams.
- Respond to a broad range of client enquiries in person, by phone, and via email.
- Process and assess applications for rental rebates.
- Manage and maintain digital client records and documentation.
- Escalate clients with special needs to appropriate support services.
- Contribute to the effective management of the team's inbox and administrative functions.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Demonstrated experience in delivering quality customer service in a busy environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage sensitive or complex situations.
- Strong time management and organisational abilities, with attention to detail.
- Proficient with business software and IT systems (e.g., MS Office, CRM platforms).
- A collaborative team player who is adaptable and solution-focused.
ELIGIBILITY
- Must hold a current Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) Check.
- Must be willing to undergo a National Police Check.
- Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required.
