This is a newly created role, due to the expansion of our ICT team. We are seeking a highly experienced ICT Training & Support Technician for a permanent full-time role based at Swan Christian College, Midland.

As the ICT Training & Support Technician, you will serve as the primary customer-facing representative for technical support within schools, focusing on high-quality service delivery. This position offers a mix of on-site and remote support to 1,500 staff and students across a network of schools, ensuring the delivery of secure, efficient, and user-friendly ICT services. The role reports directly to the ICT Service Manager.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Provide Level 1 and 2 technical service desk supports for staff and students, including but not limited to troubleshooting, device setup, and ICT asset coordination.
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand support needs, deliver training, and improve digital literacy and citizenship.
  • Supervise external contractors and support routine ICT maintenance, performance monitoring, and issue escalation.
  • Contribute to professional development through ongoing training, certifications, and promoting a culture of learning.
  • Support continuous service improvement by identifying process enhancements, ensuring policy compliance, and participating in digital transformation initiatives.
  • Promote data security best practices, assist with audits, maintain documentation, and generate operational reports.

To be successful in this role:

  • Personal Christian faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and be an active member of a Christian Church.
  • Agreement with SCEA's Statement of Faith and living a lifestyle consistent with this Statement.
  • Relevant TAFE/Tertiary qualification and minimum 2-3 years of industry experience in a similar capacity.
  • Demonstrated capability in supporting and administering Apple MacOS, IOS, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, Jamf, and related hardware, including Apple and Windows laptops, iPads, audio-visual equipment, and printers.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Proactive and detail oriented.

Desirable

  • certifications from Microsoft, CompTIA, Apple, or Jamf are highly regarded.
