The Role
We are seeking a motivated Technical Sales Officer to play a key role in promoting our products and services while expanding our valued client base. You’ll work closely with customers, providing timely and professional service, and building long-term relationships. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about sales and delivering high-quality customer solutions in the hydraulics, mining, or maritime sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Achieve parts and service sales targets at designated gross margin levels.
Maximise the sales potential of the existing client base while actively pursuing new customers.
Manage the entire sales cycle: initial enquiry, quoting, order processing, and final delivery.
Monitor customer activity and maintain regular communication to ensure their full sales potential is realised.
Work closely with service and engineering teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions in the company CRM.
Serve as the first point of contact for customer sales complaints and direct them for resolution.
Ensure all parts and services are delivered on time and within budget.
Uphold quality control standards to maintain and enhance the company’s industry reputation.
Comply with all company policies, procedures, and WHS (Workplace Health & Safety) requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
Technical understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics (desirable)
Trade qualification in a relevant field (e.g., hydraulics, mechanical engineering) or extensive relevant experience (desirable)
Knowledge of the mining and/or maritime industries (desirable)
Proven ability to identify opportunities, negotiate effectively, and secure new business.
Ability to analyse complex issues and identify solutions.
Capable of planning, prioritising, and managing multiple tasks.
Clear and concise written and verbal communication, suitable for both technical and commercial interactions.
Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and CRM/database systems.
Achievement-oriented, proactive, service-focused, detail-conscious, and professional in all dealings.
