The Role
As a full-time Transport Administration Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting our operations with a mix of admin, coordination, and accounts tasks that keep our transport and logistics systems running smoothly. Based at our depot in Moorebank, NSW, you’ll also work closely with Apollo Logistics, our metro and local delivery business. No two days are the same.
Key Responsibilities
- Data entry of jobs using Transvirtual (consignment entry, allocation, manifesting, pod upload);
- Job costing & approval;
- Operational support to General Manager as required;
- Following up drivers for paperwork;
- NHVR Compliance administration duties;
- Accounts support (using MYOB) to Financial Controller as required;
- Inbox management & back-up telephone support of incoming calls.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience in an administration/operations role within the transport industry;
- Organised and able to manage competing priorities;
- Confident communicator who works well with others;
- Proactive, solution-focussed approach;
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications in particular outlook and excel;
- Experience using a transport management package (ideally Transvirtual) and knowledge of transport industry regulations and procedures.
