Snow Australia and the Olympic Winter Institute of Australia (OWIA) are seeking a passionate and experienced professional to lead the ongoing implementation of the National Integrity Framework across both high performance and grassroots snowsport environments. This key role is responsible for promoting a safe, fair, and inclusive sporting culture through proactive education, robust safeguarding practices, and effective complaint management. Working closely with Sport Integrity Australia (SIA) and other stakeholders, the National Integrity Manager will champion best-practice integrity standards while providing practical, solutions-focused support to athletes, coaches, staff, clubs and volunteers.

This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the Australian sporting system while working with two of the country’s most respected winter sports organisations. The successful candidate will be a confident communicator, strategic thinker, and trusted advisor with demonstrated experience in integrity, governance, or sport policy. Based in Melbourne with flexible part-time hours (0.6–0.8 FTE), this role offers the chance to shape integrity culture across the full spectrum of the athlete journey — from local programs to Olympic representation.

About the role

The National Integrity Manager is responsible for supporting Snow Australia and the Olympic Winter Institute of Australia (OWIA) to provide a safe, clean, and fair sport for all participants through:

Education and awareness of the National Integrity Framework and supporting policies;

Championing and supporting continuous improvement in safeguarding processes;

Being the point of contact for integrity and complaint related matters;

Triaging complaints and conducting investigations as required; and

Ensuring transparent, effective and pragmatic integrity processes.

This role may require some regional and interstate travel.

Key Duties

The duties of the National Integrity Manager include, but are not limited to the following:

Continue to embed the National Integrity Framework policies and supporting practices across all levels of the sport.

Engage and educate on integrity topics and policies across all levels of the sport. This will include visiting athlete and club daily training environments (DTE's) to provide education and information.

Support continuous improvement in safeguarding processes across all levels of the sport.

Be the point of contact for integrity and complaints related matters.

Manage the complaint handling process in accordance with relevant policies and in partnership with other stakeholders, including Sport Integrity Australia.

Develop/maintain a complaint management system, ensuring all current and historical matters are recorded, with case progress tracked through accurate and timely data entry.

Develop and manage other relevant policies, guidelines and processes that support the National Integrity Framework.

Provide regular integrity and safeguarding updates to the Board and relevant sub-committees.

Ensure compliance with integrity policy requirements and National Child Safeguarding Principles and provide reports demonstrating compliance as required.

Liaise with Sport Integrity Australia to stay up to date with integrity trends, risks and best practice and share with key stakeholders.

Other office and non-office administration duties as required.

Selection Criteria

The selection criteria for the National Integrity Manager include:

Ability to develop and maintain sustainable and effective operational relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

Ability to engage diverse stakeholder groups on challenging topics.

Ability to inspire and champion best practice integrity from Board level to athlete.

Ability to distil policies into practical and pragmatic processes that deliver tangible outcomes.

Experience developing, evaluating or implementing key organisation policy.

Understanding of strategic thinking to align operational activities with corporate goals.

High level of personal integrity.

Approachability and strong liaison, interpersonal and negotiation skills, including the ability to develop and maintain productive working relationships and influence change.

Availability to travel to Australian snow resorts and local communities

Well-developed oral and written communication skills, with an approachable manner.

Demonstrated strong record-keeping and problem-solving skills.

Ability to evaluate and manage complaint/misconduct assessments in a fair and impartial manner.

Experience in managing discreet, sensitive and confidential information.

Ability to manage priorities across two different organisations, demonstrating sound organisational and time management skills.

Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of appropriate behaviours when engaging with Children.

Demonstrated experience in the Australian sport sector, particularly in the provision of advice in areas including member protection, child safeguarding, Anti-Doping and corruption in sport. (Desirable)

Relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstrated experience in sport management, law, governance or related field. (Desirable)
