Are you a warm, skilled, and compassionate counsellor looking to create meaningful change in people’s lives? Courtney Mac Counselling is growing, and we’re excited to invite a like-minded Counsellor to join our team. This role begins with 2–3 days per week (with the option for Saturdays), with the potential to expand your hours as our practice continues to grow.

Led by Courtney McAliece—an experienced Level 4 member of the Australian Counselling Association—we pride ourselves on creating a welcoming, supportive space where clients feel safe to explore and grow.

Your Role
As a counsellor in our team, you’ll be involved in:
• Conducting thorough mental health and wellbeing assessments using interviews, standardised tools, and behavioural observations.
• Creating clear case formulations and delivering evidence-based interventions.
• Building strong, trusting relationships with clients and maintaining a safe therapeutic space.
• Preparing professional reports for relevant stakeholders.
• Keeping detailed and confidential client notes in line with best practices.
• Collaborating with other health professionals (with client consent) as part of a wraparound support approach.
• Meeting ethical and legal obligations, including mandatory reporting.
• Staying current with research, legislation, and professional developments.
• Actively engaging in supervision and ongoing training.
Who We’re Looking For
You’ll be a great fit if you have:
- A Master’s degree in Counselling.
- Clinical registration with PACFA, or a minimum Level 2 membership with ACA.

-Professional Indemnity & Public Liability Insurance (up to $10M)
- Solid counselling experience working with adults and/or couples.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your workload with care and efficiency.
- Warmth, empathy, and excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.
- A commitment to ethical, professional, and culturally sensitive practice.
