Our Finance Team plays a critical role in supporting our mission by delivering excellent financial management and accounting services. We’re a small, agile team managing a sizeable employee base and property portfolio, and we’re looking for a detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join us.

This is a full-time role located at our head office in Milton. The Kings Row office complex is just a few steps away from the bustling Park Road, conveniently close to shops, restaurants, and public transport.

The Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll support the Financial Accountant and Property Finance Team with a range of accounting tasks. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is keen to grow their skills across a variety of finance functions.

Although this is an entry-level position, NAH is targeting recently-graduated or undergraduate finance students who are ready to put their tertiary education into practice.

Key Responsibilities:

Invoice entry and collation

Trust account assistance including bond lodgements, payments, and refunds

Daily banking and BPay file uploads

Processing payments to owners and creditors

Assisting with reconciliations and account investigations

Maintaining accurate electronic filing systems

Supporting cross-functional training and continuous improvement initiatives

Ensuring compliance with NAH policies and statutory obligations

About You

You’re either studying or have completed a degree in Business, Commerce, or Accounting, and bring:

Strong numerical and analytical skills

Excellent attention to detail and time management

Great communication and customer service skills

A proactive, flexible, and team-oriented attitude

Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office

A commitment to professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct

Other Requirements:
National Police Clearance and credentials check required.
