About the Role

We’re seeking a Senior Operations Manager / 2IC to lead day-to-day operations in a highly respected HVAC business. Originally a larger company, we strategically downsized and now run an agile, effective team of 12. Your job is not to reinvent the wheel, but to build on what works — improving efficiency, growing profitability, and freeing up the Director from day-to-day oversight.

You will be expected to:
- Take full operational control within 12 months
- Maintain set monthly in revenue
- Win set monthly in new work
- Improve gross margins through smarter planning and delivery
- Lead and develop our high-performing team
- Strengthen systems, processes, and client relationships
- Embody and protect our company culture

What We’re Looking For

- 15–20+ years of HVAC industry experience (ideally as a refrigeration mechanic or mechanical plumber; strong electricians will be considered)
- At least 5 years in a senior operations or leadership role
- Proven track record delivering profitable projects and managing teams
- Ability to lead sales efforts and maintain a strong pipeline
- Hands-on, humble, and driven — with strong commercial awareness
- A true team player with emotional intelligence and a “get the job done” mindset

What’s on Offer

- Base Salary: $135,000–$145,000 + Super

There is potential for future profit share and even an equity discussion for someone who proves to be the right long-term fit—commercially, culturally, and operationally.
