Compliance and Operations Manager

About the role

Ozford Institute of Higher Education is seeking a Compliance & Operations Manager to join our team. This is a full-time role based in our Melbourne office. In this critical position, the Compliance and Operations Manager is primarily responsible for the successful management of key operations duties, including effective compliance and risk management. The role works in collaboration with the management team to oversee Ozford‘s program delivery and operations, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards to ensure that the objectives, performance measures and targets are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

· Oversee day to day campus operations

· Develop and implement systems and processes to support high quality service delivery

· Implement initiatives designed to enhance and improve operational performance, including initiatives identified by the Board or the management team

· Maintain and improve governance and regulatory compliance with relevant legislation and standards governing Ozford operations

· Lead accreditation, audit and review activities to ensure ongoing compliance

· Represent the management team in dealings with regulatory bodies and stakeholders

· Plan and implement Professional Development activities

· Collaborate with other stakeholders to achieve organizational objectives

Specific Accountabilities

· Develop and monitor compliance and reporting frameworks and timelines, maintaining ongoing compliance

· Review and monitor policies, systems and processes to ensure alignment with current regulatory requirements

· Assist in managing applications for and implementation of new programs

· Provide staff and management with regular policy and procedure updates

· Support human resources and other processes for the academic team and other teams if required, including coordinating induction, orientation and training of new staff

· Work with the academic and administrative teams to ensure continuous improvement and efficiency of quality delivery and service provision

· Perform any other tasks requested by the C Suite.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

· Ongoing compliance with relevant regulatory, reporting and other obligations

· Ensuring Board members and management team are kept informed of compliance matters

· Manage communications with relevant regulatory bodies and external partners

· Achieved agreed improvement strategies

· New product development support and implementation

· Analysis and execution of Student and stakeholder feedback for continuous improvement.

Selection Criteria

Essential Criteria:

· demonstrated management experience, and ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced team environment

· displayed a strong commitment to maintaining high professional and ethical standards

· high level of management and IT skills, with strong attention to detail

· understanding of data and reporting requirements for quality assurance and compliance

· comprehensive knowledge of governance and compliance requirements within the Australian domestic and international education sector

· strong leadership abilities

· excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills

· superior presentation skills;

· excellent collaborative and communication skills, including demonstrated capacity for effective cross-cultural communication.

Desirable Criteria

· minimum 3 years similar experience in the higher education sector

· familiarity with various educational sectors is preferred

Qualifications Required:

A Business and/or Education Degree(s) or equivalent or higher
