We are an established roofing and cladding specialist based in Perth, Western Australia with over 35+ years’ experience in roofing.

We are looking for a dynamic and flexible person to take on role of Estimator.

Carter Roofing is a small family friendly business located in Wangara, the estimator will have occasional site visits and meetings (when required).

The role will report to the Director & General Manager for all residential and commercial projects, this includes any other administration as directed.

Our projects cover a wide range of specialist roofing projects such as slate, Tiling, lead, Specialist Metal Roofing and Cladding such as copper and brass, we are specialists in our field of roofing and often assist with all types of heritage projects and restorations as well as large commercial projects.

Purpose of Job Role;

Prepares work to be estimated by gathering tender’s proposals, drawings, blueprints, specifications, and related documents. Identifies labour, material, and time requirements & computes costs

Schedules work in liaison with operational manager

Completes administrative tasks associated with the roles

responsibilities, tracking and chasing up quotes and tenders

Other duties involve;

Maintains good relations with suppliers for ongoing and future business

Secures materials for projects with lead times and company program

Manages administration of all associated the company program

Skills

Minimum 2 years previous experience

Excellent computer skills together with high levels across Microsoft (Excel, Word, Outlook). Onscreen Take-off, Estimating software

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Effective communication – both written and verbal

Ability to work on own initiative and flexible with work loads

Note: Full or Part time options / Salary advertised is pro-rata for part time *
