This is a full-time position based in Malaga, Western Australia, working for Jaylon Industries Pty Ltd, a leading supplier and fabricator of Geomembrane Tank & Pond liners, Grain & Tarpaulin covers plus a range of Horticultural Plastic Films & Shade Cloths. As a Commercial Draftsperson Estimator, you will play a key role in not only interpreting the customers requests, but providing accurate pricing and confirming customers specific needs along with technical drawings to the fabrication department.

What you'll be doing

Prepare detailed drawings, cost estimates and technical specifications for a variety of plastic film & geomembrane fabrication projects

Liaise with clients, subcontractors and production team to gather and analyse pricing information

Assist with tenders when required for submissions and proposals that meet client requirements

Collaborate with other team members to monitor costs and identify potential savings

Create technical drawings for the fabrication team

Occasional work within other departments when required eg. Stocktakes & Over the Counter Customer assistance

What we're looking for

Relevant tertiary qualification in Drafting or a related field - Highly advantageous

Minimum 1 years' relevant experience in the building or manufacturing industry

Good understanding of construction materials & methods - Highly advantageous

MUST HAVE - Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and MS Office suite

Strong problem-solving, analytical and numeracy skills

Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities

Adaptable and able to work well autonomously and in a team environment
