Responsibilities will include:

Project Cost Estimation & Budget Management – Calculate material, labour, and equipment costs, developing detailed estimates for budget accuracy and project feasibility.

Technical Coordination & Adjustments – Work closely with engineers, architects, construction teams, and subcontractors to review and refine cost estimates, ensuring alignment with project requirements.

Tender Preparation & Supplier Selection – Prepare detailed estimates to support vendor and subcontractor selection, optimizing cost efficiency.

Plan Interpretation & Compliance – Review and interpret building plans, regulations, and industry standards to ensure all estimates comply with Australian construction codes.

Scheduling & Coordination – Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost-effective project execution.

Quality Control & Risk Management – Monitor construction quality and material usage to ensure compliance with contracts, industry regulations, and standards while identifying and mitigating potential cost risks.

Data Analysis & Documentation Management – Collect and analyse construction data, ensuring all project documentation is accurate, compliant, and well-organized to support smooth project execution.

The successful candidate will possess the following skills:

Proficiency in reading and interpreting structural and construction drawings.

Familiarity with building materials, supplier coordination, and current market pricing.

Strong practical skills in calculating material quantities and scheduling timely deliveries.

Strong problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.

Effective time management and organizational skills.

Proficiency in bilingual (English and Mandarin) or multilingual communication, with a proactive and engaging communication style.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in the building industry.
