Role Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our team. This role is vital in supporting the pre-construction phase by developing accurate cost estimates and contributing to the successful planning and delivery of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

· Interpret architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and scope of work documents.

· Prepare accurate cost estimates for labour, materials, and subcontractor services.

· Source and negotiate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.

· Maintain up-to-date pricing databases and tender records.

· Collaborate with project managers, architects, and consultants to ensure cost-effective solutions.

· Assist in the preparation of tender submissions and contract documentation.

· Monitor actual project costs against estimates and provide variance analysis.

· Recommend cost-saving alternatives while maintaining project quality and scope.

Requirements:

· Diploma or higher in Building and Construction or a related field.

· Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience in construction estimating or a similar role.

· Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.

· Proficient in Microsoft Excel and estimating software (e.g.,BlueBeam, BEAMS

· Solid understanding of Australian construction practices and building codes.

· Excellent communication and organisational skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a deadline-driven environment.
