Sapphire Specialists are a team consisting of two specialists (radiation oncologist and oculoplastic surgeon) who consult at various clinics in St Leonards, Frenchs Forest and Mona Vale. We are currently in search of a new casual receptionist to join our team for Mondays and Tuesdays for our oculoplastic surgeon 8:30am to 5pm (16 hours per week).

The clinic is located within the new North Shore Health Hub building.

Main responsibilities:

General face to face reception - Greeting patients, appointment scheduling, ensuring up to date records

Billing - Medical invoicing, taking payments through EFTPOS, sending claims to Medicare

Clinical administrative tasks - Triage of patient referrals, enquiries and issues, sterilisation of procedure equipment, escalation of urgent clinical enquiries to the appropriate channels.

General administrative tasks - sending emails and patient letters, ensuring clinic is tidy as well as maintenance of office supplies

Desirable skills:

Previous reception experience/work in a medical practice (not essential)

Knowledge of Gentu medical software (not essential)

Friendly and calm attitude in communicating with patients

Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team

Problem solving and ability to triage issues within scope

Competence with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel

Native English written and speaking proficiency

Full training will be provided to the right candidate.

Preference will be given to candidates that are flexible to cover sick and annual leave. This is a permanent part time position.
