Role Overview
As our Administration Assistant, you’ll play a key role in keeping the office running smoothly. You’ll manage client communications, handle essential compliance tasks, and assist with internal administration. This role suits someone who enjoys structured work, has strong attention to detail, and thrives in a supportive, team-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Front-line client communication (phone, email, reception)
Data entry and document management
Preparation and lodgement of ATO, ASIC, and ABR forms
Maintenance of client records and databases (Xero Practice Manager)
Handling mail, scanning, filing, and general office upkeep
Assisting accountants with compliance paperwork and reporting
Scheduling client appointments and managing diaries
Monitoring workflow pipelines and task tracking
Other ad-hoc administrative tasks as required
Skills & Experience
Previous experience in office administration (accounting industry preferred but not essential)
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Professional phone manner and client service focus
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Experience with Xero, Xero Practice Manager, or MYOB desirable but not essential
Ability to manage competing deadlines and work unsupervised
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced office environment
