I'm representing a well financed renewable energy developer in their search for a Development Manager.

About the Role

You will integrate with a small team, progressing renewable energy projects from site identification through to financial close. Renewable development experience is beneficial, however suitable experience from adjacent industries will be considered (enviro, town planning etc). Strong communication skills are required in order to coordinate with various stakeholders; landowners, consultants, NSP's etc.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage land acquisition, environmental studies, permitting, and stakeholder engagement
• Coordinate planning applications and liaison with councils / regulators
• Build strong relationships with communities and other external stakeholders
• Work closely with grid, engineering, and commercial teams to de-risk and optimise projects
• Support financial close, due diligence, and handover to construction teams

About You

• Tertiary qualification
• Ideally experience in project development / project management
• Excellent project management and communication skills
• Experience taking projects through approvals and into execution would be beneficial
• Knowledge of NEM, planning/environmental frameworks, and land access very useful
• Strong project management and communication skills
• Passion for accelerating the clean energy transition
