About the role

Harvest Hotels are searching for Enthusiastic Chef and apprentice to join the kitchen team at The Courthouse Hotel Hotel. These roles will suit people who have creative flare coupled with strong technical skills. The ability to work efficiently as part of a team in a fast paced environment is critical.

Chef

You will report directly to the Head Chef. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest level of food standards. This position/s will strongly influence the overall performance and reputation of the hotel in the local community.

Apprentice

No previous experience necessary but valued . This position is in adherence with NSW training protocols and will require your to work 4 days on site and attend TAFE 1 day per week. the want to cook, learn and grow are essential attributes to this role.

Both roles require weekend work, nights and some split shifts.

The venue is a favourite of locals and visitors alike. It's reputation is set on simplicity, great service and a fun and laid back atmosphere.

Skills and experience

To be considered;

Proven experience for 2 + years in a similar role

Knowledge and understanding of the restaurant and dining industry and the trends in the current environment

Confidence and ability to create and deliver high quality food strategies and menus

A focus on delivering the highest standards of presentation, product and overall customer experience

Strong business acumen including knowledge of the kitchen's financial performance and its effect on the business

Sound demonstration of product knowledge, technical skills and food standards

Ability to work in a team environment and liaise with FOH staff and senior management
