South Coast Insurance Brokers WA is a locally owned general insurance brokerage situated in Albany and is a member of both NIBA and Steadfast. We specialise in business and rural insurance, and pride ourselves on our professional advice and personal service.

We are seeking a motivated individual to work full-time in an office-based role, among a supportive team with a strong client service focus.

The primary role of Claims Officer will incorporate:

Taking reports of new claims from our clients and lodging with insurers

Monitoring each stage of the claim to ensure information is received and processed in a timely fashion

Keeping clients informed of progress

Reviewing policy coverage

Presenting and negotiating settlement offers

Advocating for our clients

In addition, we will provide the training and formal industry qualifications to enable you to act as a Broker Assistant, dealing with and advising on such products as home, landlords, motor, caravan, and boat insurance. Opportunities for ongoing training and development will also be available as our office places high value in continued professional development.

Ideally you will have:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Strong organisational skills and work ethic

Proficient computing skills

A personal drive for growth and development

Prior insurance industry or property management experience highly regarded but not essential

ASIC RG146 Tier 2 would also be highly regarded

Salary offered above award rates and reviewed annually. Negotiable based on experience.

Monthly RDOs are available for full time staff.
