About us

The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) is responsible for training, educating and representing psychiatrists in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. The College is accredited by the Australian Medical Council (AMC) and the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) to deliver specialist medical education and training, and professional development programs. The College is committed to elevating healthcare outcomes for Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander, and Māori communities guided by its commitments to reconciliation and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

About the role

We’re looking for a capable and confident administrator to join our team on a permanent part-time basis (0.6 FTE / 3 days per week). Ideally, you’ll bring experience from an education or membership-based environment and thrive in a role where precision, initiative, and excellent service are key.

In this role, you’ll support the administration of the RANZCP Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program with a specific focus on membership management, through to the admission of the Fellowship process and enrolment in CPD programs. You’ll also contribute to the design and preparation of supporting documentation.

You’ll be proactive and organised, able to respond efficiently to email and phone enquiries, maintain accurate electronic records and data, and support the smooth operation of CPD processes.

We’re after someone who takes ownership, manages competing priorities with ease, and delivers outstanding service every time.

What you'll bring

Relevant qualifications and/or equivalent experience in administration or education.

Experience with CPD programs or within a membership organisation is highly regarded.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong computer skills, particularly across Microsoft Office. Experience with document design and InDesign is a plus.

Australian or New Zealand citizenship, or the right to work in Australia.

Successful candidates must pass a National Police Check prior to commencing employment.

Some of what’s on offer:

  • The total remuneration package (TRP) on offer is $64,533–$77,398 pro rata (based on full-time hours), including leave loading and 12% superannuation.
  • Hybrid and flexible work environment.
  • A paid day off each month for full-time employees.
  • 12 weeks of gender-neutral paid parental leave for both primary and secondary caregivers.
  • The chance to be part of a passionate team working to improve mental health outcomes.
  • Purpose-driven work that makes a meaningful difference to communities across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.
