We’re in an exciting stage of growth, and we’re looking for a HR Business Partner to help shape the next chapter of our people journey. This is a stand-alone HR role working closely with the Group General Manager and a Senior HR consultant to deliver high-quality, practical people support to a dynamic, passionate workforce.
You’ll be stepping into a strong existing HR structure with solid foundations across onboarding, contracts, and systems - your role is to bring those systems to life day-to-day, while building great relationships with venue managers and helping us grow and develop our people.
What You’ll Do
partner with venue leaders and department heads to provide practical HR guidance
lead and manage end-to-end onboarding and contract processes
support employee relations matters with structure and care
help shape and roll out staff training and development initiatives
maintain and update employment documentation, records and HRIS
advise on award interpretation and workplace compliance
spend time in venues to understand team dynamics and build trust
work closely with the Group General Manager, EA, Finance Manager and external HR consultant to align on people priorities
What You Bring
3+ years in an HR generalist or business partnering role, ideally in hospitality, retail or similar
strong understanding and application of employment legislation, Modern Awards, and HR principles
strong communication and interpersonal skills - you’re confident building trust with a wide range of people
proactive, solutions-focused, and ready to dive into both the big-picture work and the detail
confident navigating employee relations matters with fairness, consistency and clarity
solid experience in hands-on performance management, and how to coach leaders through it
good systems hygiene - you know how to keep HRIS data and contracts tidy and compliant
ability to work primarily on-site at our head office in Sydney, with regular visits to venues across the group
a practical, no-nonsense approach with a bit of energy and humour along the way
