What you'll do:

As a Human Resources Business Partner based in Sydney CBD, you will play an integral role in supporting both strategic objectives and day-to-day operations. Your focus will be on fostering positive relationships across all levels of the organisation while delivering comprehensive HR services from recruitment through to exit management. You will collaborate closely with headquarters' HR teams to adapt global processes locally and ensure compliance with Australian legislation. Your responsibilities will include developing policies that reflect current statutory requirements; managing recruitment campaigns; supporting onboarding; facilitating employee engagement initiatives; overseeing talent management programmes; administering performance reviews; handling reward systems; guiding employment relations; supporting mobility arrangements; managing exits sensitively; supervising office administration; maintaining records meticulously; controlling assets efficiently; monitoring expenditures responsibly; ensuring secure office access protocols are followed-all while responding flexibly to changing business needs. Success in this role means being approachable yet professional-someone who can balance empathy with organisational priorities.

  • Work collaboratively with HR teams at headquarters to ensure seamless delivery of HR processes and programmes tailored to the needs of the local office.
  • Establish strong relationships with business leaders and employees to provide considerate advice on HR policies, practices, people strategies, and solutions for employee-related matters.
  • Develop, update, and implement country-specific HR policies and procedures to guarantee compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the full spectrum of HR functions including manpower planning, budgeting, recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, talent management, succession planning, learning and development, performance management, rewards administration, employment relations, mobility support, exit management, and cyclical HR exercises.
  • Provide nurturing in-service support to employees throughout their journey with the organisation to foster engagement and well-being.
  • Supervise office administrative matters such as asset control, inventory maintenance, office access management, expenditure tracking, and accurate record-keeping.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to identify workforce needs and deliver responsive HR solutions that align with organisational goals.
  • Support talent development initiatives by coordinating learning opportunities that encourage growth for all staff members.
  • Ensure all HR activities are conducted in accordance with best practice standards while maintaining sensitivity to individual needs within the team.
  • Respond promptly to shifting priorities by managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a considerate manner.

What you bring:

  • At least five years' experience in an HR business partnering capacity showcasing your ability to provide dependable support across diverse functions.
  • Familiarity with local employment laws and legislations ensuring all practices remain compliant within the Australian context.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within fast-paced environments while adapting support delivery methods as business needs evolve.
  • Excellent organisational skills demonstrated by successfully managing multiple priorities without compromising attention to detail or quality of service.
  • Strong interpersonal skills enabling you to build trust-based relationships at all levels within an organisation through empathetic communication.
  • Experience supervising administrative functions such as asset control or expenditure tracking would be highly regarded for this position.
  • A background in real estate industry HR is considered advantageous but not essential-your willingness to learn is valued above all else.
