Are you passionate about partnering with people and driving positive change? We have an opportunity for an employment and industrial relations specialist to join our dynamic Human Resources Team.
About this Role
In this role, you will partner closely with people leaders and employees across our organisation to achieve best practice human resource outcomes. You will also collaborate with internal Talent Acquisition, Diversity & Development, Payroll and Safety & Wellbeing teams to drive high-quality service delivery that supports the organisation.
As a HR Business Partner, you will provide guidance, support and expert advice on complex employee relations matters. You will also develop and coach people leaders in fundamental practices and procedures, and actively promote a positive consultative human resource approach.
About You
We are looking for a trusted advisor and collaborative leader who is passionate about fostering a high performing culture where all employees can enjoy their work. You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise and develop close working relationships with a range of stakeholders across all levels.
You will also have:
- Degree or diploma in Human Resources or similar field with several years' experience working across employment and industrial relation matters within Local Government or a similar large organisation.
- Experience undertaking workplace investigations in relation to a range of areas such as performance management, employee complaints, disputes and grievances.
- Knowledge and understanding of employment related matters emerging within Local Government.
- Proven experience delivering collaborative customer-focused outcomes, with a strong capacity to understand complex issues and communicate them effectively.
- Ability to provide advice, research and guidance on policies and Latrobe City Council's Enterprise Agreement and other applicable agreements or related legislation.
