About the Role

As Duty Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient daily operation of the hotel, including food, beverage, and gaming services. You will take charge of the venue in the absence of the General Manager, particularly after hours and on weekends, and ensure the smooth delivery of all services while maintaining a welcoming and safe environment for guests and staff.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

Planning and supervising the Restaurant and Bar and accommodation.

Overseeing front-of-house operations, ensuring excellent guest experience.

Managing and leading staff during shifts, including training and performance oversight.

Handling administrative duties such as rostering, stock control, and cash reconciliation.

Enforcing compliance with health, safety and liquor licensing.

Responding to customer complaints and resolving operational issues professionally

Ensuring the cleanliness, maintenance, and presentation of the venue

Participating in business improvement initiatives and assisting with promotional activities

Taking full operational responsibility for the venue during shifts in the absence of the General Manager (e.g. nights, weekends, public holidays)

About You

Previous experience in a supervisory or management role in hospitality

Strong understanding of Hotel and Bar operations

Responsible Person certification (or willingness to obtain)

Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills

Ability to work well under pressure and lead by example

Availability to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
