Duty Manager

About the Role
COLAC Port Adl is seeking an experienced Duty Manager to oversee venue operations during shifts, ensuring a safe, compliant, and customer-focused environment across our bar, dining, gaming, and functions areas. You will lead and support staff, manage incidents, uphold high service standards, and ensure a welcoming and safe experience for our guests. Set to open in mid August, Colac is an exciting new venue set to showcase the best of Australian food and beverage. This is a full-time role where you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our busy venue.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee shift operations, including opening/closing procedures, venue presentation, and workflow across all areas.

Lead and support staff, ensuring standards, breaks, and effective communication.

Manage guest feedback, incidents, and emergencies professionally.

Monitor compliance with RSA, RSG, and gaming regulations.

Uphold workplace safety, security, and WHS standards during shifts.

About You:

Proven experience in a supervisory or management role in a busy hospitality venue (F&B essential, gaming highly desirable).

Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills.

Solid knowledge of RSA, RSG, and cash handling procedures.

Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.

Proactive, customer-focused, and reliable.

Requirements:

RSA, RSG/RCG certifications.

Availability for night, weekend, and public holiday shifts.

Ability to stand for long periods and perform manual handling tasks.

National Police Check and fitness-for-duty compliance.
