We are looking for a proactive and responsible Duty Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure the smooth running of the venue. We are interested in both casual and full time applicants. This role involves managing staff, handling money procedures, closing the venue, and providing excellent customer service, including responsibly serving alcohol. A key component of this role is managing the gaming area, and the ideal candidate must have Gaming Manager training.

Venue Management & Closing Procedures:

Oversee the venue during shifts, ensuring all aspects of operations run smoothly

Close the venue at the end of the shift, including securing all entrances and exits, managing cash handling procedures, and balancing tills

Ensure all financial transactions are processed accurately, and money handling procedures are followed

Staff Management:

Supervise and support staff during shifts, ensuring excellent customer service is delivered

Complete tasks and ensure staff are performing to a high standard

Conduct staff briefings, set expectations through leading by example, and maintain a positive work environment

Customer Service:

Ensure a positive guest experience by overseeing customer service quality and addressing any issues that arise

Serve food and beverages to customers, ensuring responsible alcohol service in line with RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) guidelines

Resolve customer complaints promptly and effectively

Gaming Area Management:

Oversee the gaming area and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and gaming procedures

Maintain an awareness of gaming regulations, assist customers with gaming machines, and ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons

Ensure all gaming related transactions are handled accurately and responsibly

Requirements:

Valid Gaming Manager training and certification

Proven experience in a hospitality or venue management role, preferably in a similar setting

Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team

RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays

Strong customer service focus with the ability to resolve issues efficiently and professionally
