Competitive remuneration package up to $105,077 p.a. (package includes salary between $84,659 - $92,701 p.a., plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading)

The Library is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Communication & Engagement Assistant to support the development and delivery of our strategic communications initiatives. This role plays a key part in enhancing engagement with a broad audience, including internal stakeholders and the wider community. You will contribute to the planning and execution of campaigns, events, and digital communications that align with the Library’s brand and objectives.
Some key responsibilities include:
Coordinate and implement communication activities across various channels
Assist in the delivery of events, launches, and presentations
Collaborate with internal teams to develop content for newsletters, websites, and promotional materials
Ensure consistency and accuracy in messaging across all communications
Manage requests, briefs, deadlines, and approvals to support timely project delivery
Provide administrative support including reporting, invoice processing, and budget tracking
The Ideal Candidate
You are a collaborative and organised professional with a strong interest in communications and stakeholder engagement. You thrive in dynamic environments and are comfortable managing multiple priorities. Your attention to detail, ability to work across teams, and willingness to embrace new technologies will be key to your success in this role. You bring:
Degree or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, media, or a related field
Capacity to manage multiple deadlines, prioritise tasks, and handle fast-paced workflows
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with digital communication tools and platforms
A proactive and solutions-focused approach to teamwork
Similar experience in a cultural organisation
